Home Court Hero Presentation- 3/15/09
Kapco President Jim Kacmarcik, along with Milwaukee Bucks player Luc Richard Mbah A Moute, are honoring the March 15, 2009 Kapco Home Court Hero Recipients –
THE O'BRIEN FAMILY.
Lori and Dan O'Brien from Milwaukee, are heroes for opening their home up to 11 foster children and adopting 7 of them. They already had three biological children of their own. Their daughter brought home a 14-year-old friend whose mother didn't want to raise her so the O'Brien's gave her a home. The foster children they took in were kids that nobody wanted...considered unadoptable – physically and emotionally abused. Out of all the 15 children, 7 are still living at home. They've even been asked by child welfare to take in more children because they have provided such a good home for kids in need. For their efforts, the O'Brien's also appeared on the Today Show and were honored in a special called "Everyone Has A Story." This family is truely amazing and deserving of the Home Court Hero award.
The Milwaukee Bucks thank Kapco for supporting Home Court Heroes. For Kapco there is no single greater reward than giving back to the community. Kapco…making people our priority!
